ISKME: Turning Knowledge into Action

The Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME), an independent, non-profit research institute established in 2002, is a pioneer in knowledge sharing and educational innovations.

ISKME helps schools, colleges, universities, and the organizations that support them expand their capacity to collect and share information, apply it to well-defined problems, and create human-centered, knowledge-driven environments focused on learning and success.

In examining and assisting K-20, ISKME also helps philanthropic organizations and government agencies examine and improve their own and their grantees’ processes for continuous improvement, evaluation, and learning.

ISKME achieves this goal through research, innovation, and practice:

  • Research. ISKME conducts social science research and evaluation in information sharing and knowledge collaboration in the education sector.
  • Innovations. ISKME creates and supports innovations in education research, policy, and practice.
  • Practice. ISKME provides field-building activities, conferences, and professional development workshops in knowledge collaboration and innovation.
