ISKME’s Virtual OER Hub Summit will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 9a.m. to 12p.m. Pacific.

The goals of the Summit include:
– Make connections across OER Hub Projects and provide opportunities for participants to learn from each other.
– Share best practices and explore how OER Leaders have designed innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of their communities.
– Identify next steps to continue collaborating to iterate, customize, and scale new ideas.

Summit Draft Agenda

Welcome & Opening Activity: Radically Reimagining Solutions to Meet the Needs of this MomentDuring these unprecedented times we have a unique opportunity to radically reimagine the way we support teaching and learning in our communities. For this opening session, we will connect and share around the current needs and challenges we are facing related to our work with Open Educational Resources (OER). We will also highlight inspiring examples of how educators are developing innovative OER solutions to meet the needs of this moment. Whole Group and Breakout Rooms (60 minutes)

10 minute Stretch/Hydration/Self Care Break 

OER Project Showcase – Learn directly from OER Leaders who have designed creative OER solutions to meet the specific needs of their educators and learners. The OER Project Showcase will feature new ideas and approaches for OER outreach and engagement, training, evaluation, curation, and authoring/remixing from Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, California Community Colleges, Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units, Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity, Oregon Department of Education, Nebraska Department of Education, Virginia Department of Education, and more.
