“Hearing success stories from the trenches showed be real failures and their successful rebounds in action.  Success is built on the courage to fail.”

Action Collab Facilitator Training

by | Aug 18, 2011

An organization’s performance is enhanced by engaging – and igniting – big ideas that are often untapped in people. As a way to catalyze new thinking, we’re pleased to announce a dynamic new training session for Organizational Development facilitators that uses a design-focused framework to foster fresh ideas, and more importantly, directly leads to actionable next steps.

ISKME’s Action Collab Facilitator Training, September 26-27, in the San Francisco Bay Area, will train facilitators in the Action Collab process and enable them to add a dynamic new framework to their set of skills for enhancing organizations’ progress.

What is an “Action Collab”? An outgrowth of ISKME’s Big Ideas Fest, this innovative workshop involves unique paths to idea-generation, such as design-thinking and improv exercises. A one-of-a-kind experience, Action Collabs continue to grow in reach and are currently being used with numerous organizations outside of Big Ideas Fest.

Graduates of the Action Collab Facilitator Training will become certified and added to our roster of potential facilitators for contracted ISKME Action Collabs with outside organizations, as well as for Big Ideas Fest Action Collabs. Facilitation of ISKME Action Collabs and Big Ideas Fest Action Collabs are paid commitments.

REAL-LIFE RESULTS:

“The part where we prototyped and literally built a system from scratch was particularly meaningful and inspiring. I’d never seen myself as someone who ‘makes’ things, and for the first time, I saw myself conceptualizing and making a solution.  It was really eye-opening.” – Action Collab Participant

“It’s really inspiring to watch a group of people come together in a new way. The combination of new ways to brainstorm with the improv session got everyone engaged in the creative process – and they came to a real-life solution!” – Action Collab Facilitator
