To kick off the school year, ISKME is hosting a Back to School Haiku Competition. Educators are invited to create an original haiku that describes how they will support student success this year, using the haiku structure of 5 syllables for the first line, 7 syllables for the second line, and 5 syllables for the third line (see examples below).
Educators are encouraged to share their Back to School Haikus via twitter using the hashtags #BacktoSchoolHaiku and #bif2016 by October 7.
A panel of judges will score the haikus based on creativity, inspiration, and the amount of likes and retweets it receives. Winners will be announced on October 14 and receive full registration, which includes all activities and meals, not hotel and travel to Big Ideas Fest, December 4-7 in San Jose, California http://www.bigideasfest.org/
