Leah Garcia supports the ISKME team as Project Assistant. Leah works with the ISKME team to ensure the planning and execution of the trainings and events are well organized and thoughtfully planned. She holds a B.A in Education from Chico State and spent her first year post graduation traveling abroad in South America where she taught English, honed her Spanish skills and danced the tango. Prior to joining ISKME, Leah worked as a special education teacher assistant in the Cabrillo Unified School System. Leah is passionate about advocating that all students have a voice. In her free time she enjoys BUTI Yoga, and listening to Pearl Jam.
To remain flexible and open to different ideas and approaches to get to the same goal. I see it as a blending of the generational gap to address the fears that delay potential change.
